Hot rolled coils
BUY PIPE offers a wide range of products from hot-rolled coils. Hot rolled coils are produced using a rolling mill which involves rolling the steel at a high temperature (above the recrystallization temperature of the steel). As long as the temperature of the steel is above the recrystallization temperature, it can be easily shaped. In the case of hot rolled steel, the starting material is usually large pieces of metal such as slabs, blooms and billets.
- Lower cost - usually cheaper than cold rolled steel
- Malleability - Looser tolerances allow hot-rolled steel to be shaped into various shapes.
- Improved mechanical properties - The rolling process eliminates certain defects in the steel, making it denser.
- Our hot rolled steel meets the requirements of ASTM A568. EN 10025.
So you can be sure that our product will meet all standard ASTM and EN specifications.
Hot rolled steel coil
pickled and oiled steel is also available in pickled and oiled finishes. By acid pickling and oil lubrication, mill scale can be removed from hot rolled steel, thus protecting it from rust. The cost of gripping and lubricating is somewhere in the middle between conventional hot rolling and cold rolling.
Hot rolled steel coils are produced as raw materials for cold rolled steel coils and metal coated coils such as galvanized or galvanized steel. Hot rolled steel is also used in a variety of industries including transportation (bridges, support beams, railings), shipbuilding, gas cylinders, pressure vessels and power piping. In addition, hot rolled steel is used in many building products, including everything from fireplaces to furniture and cabinets...both residential and commercial. This product has also caught the attention of architects for applications such as wall panels, decorative railings and more.
